33 Series

Sunday, 5:00pm - 6:00pm | Room D107 - 1231 Fortner St Dothan AL 36301

33 The Series: A Man and His Design is a 6 session Bible study that builds upon many of the timeless truths taught by Robert Lewis in the original Men's Fraternity curriculum but also includes new material on authentic manhood. The series is designed to inspire and equip men to pursue authentic manhood as modeled by Jesus Christ in His 33 years on earth. Volume I contains six sessions that explore the basic foundations of authentic manhood and God's clear design for men.

This first volume of 33 starts with meaningful insights into the current state of manhood, which will help men navigate through some realities that have created cultural confusion. It follows by unfolding God's mandates for all men and offering a clear definition of authentic manhood that will help men on their journey. Each participant will learn the four "faces" of manhood and how to anticipate and transition through the specific seasons of life.

Starts April 9, 2017.

5 Habits of a Woman Who Doesn’t Quit

Wednesday, 6:00pm - 7:00pm | Room D102 - 1231 Fortner St Dothan AL 36301

Many people believe that doing great things for God is going to be a big moment. We need to be inspired by someone who lived out something crazy or unexpected for God with no lights, cameras or academy awards.
Perseverance is one of the greatest skills but also the hardest lessons we will learn in our lifetime. We are living in a day where we are encouraged to do life based on how we feel. But the problem is most days we don’t feel like doing much of anything hard.

Then there is Ruth. She is much more than a Bible story and through her life we uncover five life-giving habits that help us to persevere when things get hard, complicated, and messy. But these habits do more than just motivate, they help us to fight when resistance arises. They teach us to pursue discipline and the desire to determine our daily direction. These habits show how success is not achieved by pursuing temporary desires. The direction of our lives needs to be far less about to-do lists and accomplishments. And instead focus on becoming the people God can count on.

All Things New

Thursday, 8:45am - 10:00am | Parlor - 1231 Fortner St Dothan AL 36301

The city of ancient Corinth was much like our own modern-day cities: a melting pot of electrifying cultural experiences to be had, along with the myriad pitfalls of spiritual depravity. Still, Paul wrote to the church of God in Corinth. Meaning God’s church is meant to thrive in any city and every circumstance in which we find ourselves. Paul’s letter is as timely as ever.

Over 8 sessions, Kelly Minter will lead you through the Letter of 2 Corinthians, exploring the anchoring truths of bearing treasures in jars of clay, meeting Christ through a pressing thorn, opening wide your heart in the midst of hurtful relationships, and what it means to embrace the lost and lonely as ministers of the new covenant. Each of us has a message to proclaim and live by: Because of Jesus the old has gone, the new has come.

We will go on an exploration through "counterfeit" religions like Mormonism, Islam, Deism, Jehovah's Witnesses, Zoroastrianism, and many more. When you can spot where man's arbitrary opinions are being elevated above God, you'll be in a position to know how to refute a particular religion.
