Dear Friends,
Thank you for your interest in the Music and Worship Ministry at
Ridgecrest Baptist Church. I am blessed that God has allowed me the
privilege of serving Him and the fellowship here since August of 1981.
Matthew 5:16 states: “Let your light so shine before men, that they
may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven.”
My heart’s desire is that God be wholly magnified and that all men come
to salvation found in His Son, Jesus Christ.
In November, 1996, Debbie Moore began sharing in this ministry as Music
and Worship Coordinator. Should you have questions or desire further
information concerning the Music and Worship Ministry, please contact
her in the church music office at 792-9406, ext. 238.
This ministry strives for excellence in training believers to utilize
the gift of music for the glory of God. Because God gave of His best,
we, too, want to offer our best to Him through praise, worship, and
thanksgiving. Let me encourage you to join us! Your life will be
enriched, and others will be blessed because of you.
In His Love,
Bro. Tim Willis
“And He put a new song in my mouth, a song of praise to our God; Many
will see and fear, and will trust in the Lord.” Psalm 40:3
This ministry exists and functions in order to magnify God. Our purpose is to provide a ministry that will effectively contribute to bringing people to Jesus Christ and to equip and encourage believers to discover, develop, and use their talents in the worship of God.
The Adult Choir and Orchestra
We are first and foremost a worshipping group. God has called us to worship Him. It is for an audience of One that we sing a song or play an instrument.
We are also a worship-leading group as we use the music that God gives us to proclaim His glory, declare our affection, and celebrate His presence. The Adult Choir and Orchestra leads in worship and praise during each of the Sunday worship services and shares in special presentations throughout the year.
This choir is for anyone who wants to worship God. Your effectiveness in choir will depend on your heart, not your voice. Our desire is to offer a gift of excellence, ever dependent upon the leading of the Holy Spirit.
Opportunities for participation as a soloist or an ensemble vocalist are available but are secondary to your participation in the Adult Choir and Orchestra. Outside of guest artists, all soloists and ensemble members must first be faithful and committed members of the Adult Choir and Orchestra.
Regular rehearsals are held each Sunday from 5:00 pm - 6:00 pm in the worship center and Wednesday from 7:00 pm – 8:00 pm in the music suite. A pre-school nursery is provided for all rehearsals.
