Flourish and Much More...
FLOURISH and Much More…
Ladies, don’t miss our quarterly Women’s Flourish event. Hundreds of women from our church and all over the wiregrass will gather in the Ridgecrest Worship center this Tuesday evening at 7:00 PM for a night of worship, encouragement, friendship and a special guest speaker. No pre-registration is required, just show up and be lifted-up by this evening designed just for women.
I actually dropped by the last Flourish event just to peek in and see what it was like for our women… one word—Fantastic! By the way, Husbands, tell your wife that you’ll take care of the kids so she can have this evening to refresh her soul.
While I am talking about refreshing events, let me also mention a monthly gathering for men. It’s our first Saturday of the month men’s breakfast. It’s a great time of fellowship, food and a refreshing word from a guest. This month’s has come and gone, but keep it in mind for the months ahead.
Another event that I want to mention to you is our up coming couples retreat at Lakepoint Resort in Eufaula. This years dates are March 5-6. Last year more than 65 couples attended and we had a wonderful time in sessions, in meals, in sitting around chatting, games and much laughter and relaxing. Begin now planning to join us for this Friday evening and Saturday event.
And another…Saturday March 12 will be “Ridgecrest Cares” day in our community. We’ve done it before and it is fantastic way to show love to our community through acts of ministry and service.
And another… Franklin Graham is coming to our state capital for a special prayer rally on April 14. Put it on your calendar, let’s go hear him and support this prayer event. It will be held at 10:00 AM on the 14th and last approximately 1 hour. We’ll take our large buses, if you need to ride and then after the rally, let’s all go eat together before we head back home—it will be a great trip for a great reason.
And another… Honduras. We will be sending a construction team back to Honduras in April 9-16. Of course you know that we have our own Ken and Kirsten Nelson now on the field and serving in Honduras. We’ll connect with them and their work in this project. Let me encourage you to consider going on this ministry/mission endeavor. You can see Chuck for more information and details.
Don’t forget several things right here to engage in ministry as well… Monday night Sunday School, Monday night ministry center hot meals for the community.
UPDATE… we are closing in on our next Youth Pastor. I have been meeting with a number of potential candidates and I have some outstanding men I am talking with… and through prayer we are beginning to narrow the field. I want to make sure we get God’s man so, keep praying.
UPDATE #2… Holy Land trip has been rescheduled for March of 2017… details to come later.
Plenty going on… be a participant not a spectator! And remember, God is always trying to take us someplace new. I love being your Pastor!
For God’s Glory Alone,
