Dear Ridgecrest Family,
Welcome! Today is a day of celebration and praise. I am so glad that you are here to see, to experience and to participate in this historical and biblical event in the life of our Church.
It is historical because it represents another step in the journey and mission that God gave this great church back in 1953. It is biblical because it is our response to the Word of God from Haggai 2:9 that says, “The latter glory of this house shall be greater than the former, says the Lord of hosts. And in this place I will give peace, declares the Lord of hosts.” And today, we are going to let the glory of God rise among us!
There are so many people to thank, but we are extremely blessed by the service of our “Greater Glory” committee, who sought God and worked faithfully to help get us to this day. For me, it’s been a four-year journey of prayer and seeking the Word of God about His work and direction for our congregation. And I can tell you, on this day, I am more excited than ever about being your Pastor and about seeing the wonders that God will do in this place in years to come.
The facts are, we have a great history, we have a great staff, we have a great facility, we have a great family of believers, we have a great future, and most of all we have a Great God! So, let us lift our voices in praise to Him, let us celebrate our Savior, and as we do, may the glory of God fall on us and on this house!
And never forget three things, God is always trying to take us someplace new, the journey never ends, and I love being your pastor!
For God’s Glory Alone,
