We’re on the Radio…

08.27.17 | by Ray Jones

    We’re on the Radio…

The Lord has blessed our TV ministry greatly over the years, we have several faithful business sponsors like Lance Shephard and Southern Heritage Funeral Home and Morris & Neil Holloway of Brian-Holloway Carpet One, from RBC, that help offset some of the cost. I am grateful for their help in this powerful ministry. And now, through the generosity of Dr. Clay Wright and the “Southern Dental Group” of Dothan, I am pleased to inform you that we are on the Radio. The Joy FM 94.3 and 96.1 are now carrying our worship services each week on Sunday morning from 9 AM to 10 AM. Will you join me in praying that God blesses this, another extension of our ministry?

We have a new Web Store… We often offer and refer you to special resources. I am pleased to tell you that as of this week you can now go to our web page and purchase books, message series, our own Mugs for Mission coffee and other items at discounted rates that can be ordered, paid for online and either picked up here at RBC or shipped directly to you or someone else.

“My Ridgecrest”… is also a new website connection on our web page for you to register for upcoming events. Both of these are in their infantile state and will continue to expand in the days ahead. I hope that you will check them both out and begin using them for your convenience.

Congratulations… to Jonathan Blair, our College Pastor and Contemporary Worship Leader, for being ordained to the gospel ministry this past Sunday by his home church, First Baptist Headland.

“A House For God” Sunday, September 10… This, of course, is our formal dedication Sunday and will complete our 3 special Sundays that we have used to enter our new worship center. We have invited local and state civic leaders along with charter members and former pastors to join us in a Great Day of Dedication.

As I had mentioned when we approved the project, we would follow the entry into the renovated space with a special and sacrificial offering to help pay for the renovation costs. We’ll do that as well on this special day of Dedication. Further, as a part of this worship ceremony, we will all participate in the creation of a lasting and permanently displayed marker and reminder of what God has done, is doing and will do in the years to come at Ridgecrest…It’s going to be beautiful and on display for years to come. Even our guests will be a part in its creation. I don’t want to say more because I don’t want to spoil the surprise. You’ll be receiving a letter from me real soon with more detail about the day, but here are several things that you can do between now and September 10th.

    1. Begin praying that God will be honored as we dedicate this magnificent facility afresh to Him.
    2. Adjust your schedule and make plans to be here… you will not want to miss this milestone event in our Church.
    3. Begin now praying about your special, financial gift above your regular tithes and offerings… your extra gifts will go 100% toward the recent refurbishment.
    4. And pray that the Spirit of God will rest on this place and the Glory of God will rise from this place!

It’s been good here for a long, long time, and we can praise God for so much, but many people have said to me recently… “Pastor, God is doing something fresh in our church.” It’s true, you can see it in lives that are being changed and you can sense it in our gatherings. I know you love it, and so do I. Let’s keep going and growing for the Kingdom of God. And remember, God is always trying to take us someplace new. I love being your Pastor!!!!

    For God’s Glory Alone,

    Bro. Ray
