Frequently Asked Questions
What is a Connection Group?
A Connection Group is group of people who meet weekly to share, study and support one another. A trained leader leads each group. An average meeting lasts for an hour.
How Important Are Connection Groups?
Here at Ridgecrest Baptist Church, Connection Groups are the heartbeat of our ministry. They're the place where the real ministry of the church takes place as we study God's Word, while supporting and sharing our lives with one another. We believe that meeting together on a regular basis is time well spent. Our goal each year is to have at least 80% of our adults involved on a weekly basis.
When and Where Do They Meet?
The majority of our Connection Groups meet on Sunday mornings between 9:45am to 10:45am. We do have a couple of our groups that meet off campus.
What Will We Study?
Majority of the studies are curriculum-based, with Explore the Bible being the dominant literature. March through May, we will be studying the book of 1 Corinthians.
How Do I Choose A Group?
When selecting a group, we encourage you to choose a group based on your common stage in life, rather than age. Over the years, we've found that groups do best when members share a common stage-in-Life and other interests with their leaders and other group members. Please refer to the “Find A Group” button.
If you have any questions (especially if you are new to Ridgecrest Baptist Church), please do not hesitate to call the church, and we will gladly assist you. Keep in mind that it might take two or three groups before you find the perfect fit, but don't worry, you'll find it!
How Do I Sign Up For A Connection Group?
