#075: After The Camp Experience Wears Off feat. Grant Baker

This week on The Journey, we explored the tension between “mountaintop” spiritual experiences like church camp and the reality of everyday life with Jesus. Drawing on the transfiguration account in Matthew 17, where Jesus allowed His disciples to witness a moment of extraordinary glory before returning to the ordinary demands of ministry, we examined how God uses retreat-like experiences to fuel ongoing discipleship rather than replace it. We also reflected on the role of Christian community, the enemy’s use of doubt to discourage believers, and the importance of surrendering to God’s calling even when fear or outside voices make that difficult.
