This week on The Journey, we were joined by friend of the program Wyatt Lewis as we explored the tension many believers feel between wanting a clear, structured spiritual life and the reality that growth in Christ often resists easy measurement. Drawing on Wyatt’s military experience, his family life, and his years of faithful involvement here at Ridgecrest, the discussion returned again and again to a foundational truth: knowing God through His Word and communicating with Him through prayer is not a beginner’s step to be graduated from, but a lifelong discipline that produces fruit in its own time. We also reflected on the challenge of results-oriented thinking in the Christian walk, the danger of comparing spiritual checklists, and the importance of simply being faithful in what God has placed before you.
